Parbatya Chattagram Mahila Samiti

Parbatya Chattagram Mahila Samiti (PCMS) is a women wing organization of the Parbatya Chattgram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS) involved in the struggle for rights to self-determination of the indigenous peoples in Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh. The PCMS was founded on 10 August 1975 at the patronization of late leader M.N. Larma with the support of J. B. Larma alias Santu Larma, Chairman of Chittagong Hill Tracts Regional Council and President of PCJSS. PCMS had a commendable role during the armed struggle that lasted for more than two and a half decades in the recent past. The organization has retained its role more confidently in the present day situations.

The Central Representative Conference of the PCMS, which is convened every 3 years, is the supreme body of the organization, which elects a Central Committee accountable to it. The Central Committee is the highest organ of the PCMS during the interval between the two Central Representative Conferences.

A 25-member Central Committee was elected by the 9th Central Representative Conference of the PCMS held in March 2011. The PCMS has branches in three hill districts, thanas (upazilas) and unions in Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT). Besides, there are village committees in all over the three hill districts.
At present, Ms. Jarita Chakma is president of PCMS while Ms. Suprava Chakma and Ms. Moni Chakma are working as General Secretary and Organizing Secretary respectively.
