Pushwe Thowai Marma (42), Member of Bandarban District Committee and also General Secretary of Bandarban Sadar Thana Committee of the Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS) has been killed after abduction by army and Awami League supported Mog Party’s armed terrorist members on 12 December at 8:30 pm at Chimi Dhulu Para of Bandarban Sadar Upazila under Bandarban district.
PCJSS strongly condemned and protested against the killing of Pushwe Thowai Marma after abduction and demanded to arrest and take drastic action against the members of Mog Party involved with the murder.
It is to be mentioned that in order to obstruct the implementation process of the CHT Accord and to turn the movement for implementation of the Accord toward different direction, a reign of anarchism has been established through unleashing the Mog Party, JSS (MN Larma) known as Reformist gang and UPDF (Democratic) armed terrorist groups created by the army and the local ruling party leadership, by inciting them in killings, extortions and other terrorist activities.
Atrocities upon the Jumma people including the PCJSS activists and supporters are being meted out by deploying the Mog Party at Powaitu Para of Rajasthali Upazila. On 12 December, the Mog Party terrorist members abducted Pushwe Thowai Marma at gun point and then shot dead taking him at Amtali Para area a short away from Chimi Dhulu Para. Earlier, on 10 December, Mog Party terrorists also looted shops of Chimu Dhulu Para and physically tortured on the villagers.
