The Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS) strongly protested and condemned the statement of the so-called KNF, known as the Bawm Party, involving the PCJSS in yesterday’s Ruma incident.
Today (February 15) in a press release signed by Sajib Chakma, Assistant Information and Publicity Secretary of PCJSS, it is said that, yesterday (February 14) the attention of the Public Solidarity Association was drawn to the press release of the so-called Kuki-Chin National Army, known as the Bawm Party, entitled “KNF’s response to the surprise attack on innocent Bawm and Lusai people by the Marma people led by JSS-backed radical Marma leaders”.
The response said that, “…JSS terrorists staged a protest in Ruma Bazar. At one stage during the protest march, the protesting mob started attacking the innocent people of Bawm community…” This statement of the so-called KNF is completely false and politically motivated. Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS) never supports communal politics. PCJSS has been waging movement for the rights to self-determination of Jumma people such as Chakma, Marma, Tripura, Mro, Tanchangya, Bawm, Khiyang, Lusai, Pangkho, Khumi, Chak, Gorkha, Santal and Assamese etc. who have been living in Chittagong Hill Tracts since time immemorial.
“JSS had a gun battle with the KNA” – which was mentioned in the reaction of KNF that is nothing but a blatant lie. It is as clear as daylight that Uhlaching Marma is an innocent villager who was injured in the indiscriminate firing by the armed terrorists of KNF. The PCJSS is of the opinion that the KNF is spreading communal tension in Bandarban and carrying out nefarious activities with an intention of fishing in murky waters through such stubborn and communal activities.
The PCJSS strongly condemned and protested against the statement of the so-called KNF, known as the Bawm Party, involving the PCJSS in the Ruma incident.
